COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students in this program will have a 30 minute private lesson (one-on-one) per week. Students can choose one of the following instruments:
Oud - Qanun - Tabla - Arabic Violin - Classic Violin - Piano - Clarinet - Drums - Guitar
Private instrumental lessons will focus on the basic and advanced techniques for playing the Oud, Qanun, Tabla, Arabic Violin, Classic Violin and Piano. The objective is to create a group of students who are able to appreciate and understand Arabic and Western classical music and prepare them for the Junior Canadian Arabic Orchestra.
* Piano, Guitar, Clarinet, and Classic Violin students may choose to prepare for Royal Conservatory of Music exams and get an RCM certificate.
