ABOUT US
HISTORY & OVERVIEW
The Canadian Arabic Conservatory of Music CACM, was founded in 2016 by Lamees Audeh and Wafa Al Zaghal, two years after the founding of the Canadian Arabic Orchestra. As parents and music teachers, Lamees and Wafa believe in the importance of preserving Arabic Music in the hearts and minds of the growing Arab community in Canada. The Arab community needs a music school where we can keep our music alive through passing this musical knowledge to the younger generation, a place to be proud of our rich Arabic cultural heritage, a place where we as Arabs can unite on something beautiful.
The CACM offers music lessons and courses in Arabic and western musical instruments. We teach various genres of music with a special focus on Arabic classical music. Our main goal as an organization is to provide educational programs that promote interest in the Arabic classical and Western classical music heritage.
Students can choose to prepare for RCM examinations and Arabic Music examinations. Our teachers give fun, excellent quality lessons to students of all levels, ages and backgrounds. The goal is to create well rounded musicians while also enjoying being part of a community that shares the love of music
